Descriptive Title: Staff Assistant
Budget Title: Library Coordinator for Administrative Services and Collections
Department: Library
Reports to: Library Director
Salary Grade: SL2
Start Date: ASAP

Description of duties:
Under general supervision of the Library Director the incumbent coordinates the personnel and business aspects of the library’s administrative office
Prepares reports, questionnaires, and surveys
Coordinates data analysis and statistics
Searches Library Bibliographic Databases for collection management, analysis and reports
Prepares and coordinates library publications
Coordinates the library’s communication and outreach program to the academic community, campus administrative offices, commercial vendors and publishers
Maintains personnel accounts for library employees
Compiles payroll summaries
Performs routine monthly reconciliation and analysis for internal and external purposes
Assists in the preparation and submission of grant applications
Liaison between the Library Director/Department Chair and the professional staff of the institution with respect to administrative matters
Maintains office budget
Monitors faculty and professional appointments with respect to operative dates for contract renewal, permanent appointment

Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of responsible administrative experience preferably in a library setting
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Proficiency with computer software packages and data analysis software
Self-motivated; ability to work independently
Masters degree is preferred

Special Notes: This is a full time calendar year appointment. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously.
